KSP's “Track Offenders In/Out of Area” feature turns a one-time search into a notice service. It accepts a five-digit ZIP code and requires an email address for signup. A user may select ZIP codes or monitor individual registrants. KSP then sends email when a registrant moves into a selected ZIP or when monitored information changes.
This works best as a supplement, not a substitute for a fresh search. A Clinton County ZIP alert can flag a change after it reaches the registry, but KSP does not promise that all site data is complete or current. If an email points to a changed profile, reopen the official profile and compare the address, photograph, offense, and status rather than relying on the alert subject line alone.
Since January 1, 2024, a registrant without a fixed residence must report in person at least every 30 days and give an approximate location. A ZIP alert may be less precise for that record.

Reincarceration stops the registration clock while the person is confined. Covered moves into Kentucky require registration within five working days. A county-to-county move requires notice to the current office and registration with the new office within five working days. Within the same county, an address change must be reported on or before the change.

KSP describes the registry as a public-safety and awareness resource, not a means to punish or embarrass a listed person.
